The corporate headshot photography workshop programme

Six modules, in person at the studio, roughly 10 am to 4 pm. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced photographer looking to specialize, you leave with a complete method, from lighting to delivery.

  1. 01

    Lighting

Flash or continuous light: the pros and cons of each, and the lighting setup that works in the studio as well as in a meeting room.

  2. 02

    Posing and composition

Directing expression, posture and framing. What separates a conventional portrait from one that inspires trust.

  3. 03

    Post-processing and retouching

The result to aim for, and the best tools to get there without distorting the face.

  4. 04

    The details

Two backgrounds in one, outfit advice, make-up: everything your clients won’t notice, but that makes the difference.

  5. 05

    Practice and critique

You shoot, we review together, you correct. The best way to make the method stick.

  6. Bonus

Flash or continuous light?

Background (two in one) Flash + softboxContinuous LED panel Subject Reflector Camera · 75 to 105 mm

Flash

  • Powerful: you can stop down and keep the whole face sharp
  • Freezes every micro-expression
  • No heat, so the sitter stays comfortable
  • You only see the effect after the shot
  • More technical to master at first

Continuous light

  • You see the result before you shoot: ideal for learning
  • The sitter sees the light and positions themselves better
  • Also usable for video
  • Less powerful: higher ISO or wider aperture
  • A bright source can make people squint

Already have your gear? The workshop adapts to your equipment, flash or continuous. Starting from scratch? We’ll send you the equipment lists for both setups.

Corporate headshot photography workshop: frequently asked questions

It takes place in person at the studio, roughly from 10 am to 4 pm. The exact length depends on the size of the group, usually between 4 and 6 hours per module.

No. The path is simple: get trained, build a portfolio of 12 to 14 outstanding images, create your website, set up your business and find clients. Your portfolio and your method are what win companies over.

Yes, whether you’re changing careers or specializing. The workshop starts from the basics of lighting and goes all the way to retouching. If you already shoot and mainly want to improve, the video portfolio review is a good place to start.

That’s the goal. You learn the same method we use for our clients: lighting, essential settings, posing direction that turns a session into an experience, and retouching. The rest comes with practice.

From €3,000, camera and lens included, computer excluded. Two setups are possible, with flash or with continuous light. You’ll receive the detailed lists.

It depends on the country you work in. In France, the micro-entreprise is often the simplest way to start; elsewhere, look at the local sole-trader or freelance status. Either way, have your choice confirmed by an accountant for your situation.

A corporate session is often billed at around €2,000, and two to four sessions a month is a realistic goal with regular clients. That’s revenue before costs, and nothing is guaranteed: it all depends on your portfolio and your prospecting.
